Author Guidelines

Thank you for considering the Journal of Advanced Research in Mathematics and Statistics (JARMS) for your manuscript. Below are the detailed submission guidelines to assist you in preparing and submitting your manuscript through our Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.

1. Manuscript Categories

JARMS accepts the following types of manuscripts:

• Original Research Articles: Detailed reports presenting original research findings.
• Review Articles: Comprehensive reviews covering specific topics in mathematics and statistics.
• Case Studies: In-depth reports of individual cases offering insights into mathematical or statistical practice.
• Commentaries: Short articles providing expert opinions on current issues in mathematics and statistics.

2. Manuscript Preparation

a. General Format

• Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English.
• Document Formatting: Use double-spacing throughout the manuscript, including references and tables. Number all pages consecutively, starting with the title page.
• Font and Margins: Use a standard, readable font such as Times New Roman, 12-point size. Margins should be at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) on all sides.
• File Format: Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. Figures and tables should be submitted as separate high-resolution files (e.g., .jpeg, .png, .tiff).

b. Structure

• Title Page: Include the title, full names of all authors with their institutional affiliations, contact information for the corresponding author, and acknowledgments of funding sources and other support.
• Abstract: Provide a single paragraph not exceeding 250 words, structured into background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
• Keywords: Provide 3-5 keywords in alphabetical order, separated by commas.
• Main Text: Organize the manuscript into Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
• References: Use a consistent citation style (e.g., APA, Vancouver). Ensure all references are complete and accurate.
• Tables and Figures: Include these at the end of the manuscript or in separate files, each with a concise, descriptive caption.

3. Submission Process

a. Register and Login

• Register: If you are a new user, create an account at JARMS OJS Registration.
• Login: Log in to your account at JARMS OJS Login.

b. Submit a New Manuscript

1. Start a New Submission: Click on "New Submission" to begin.
2. Select Section: Choose the appropriate section for your manuscript (e.g., Original Research, Review Article).
3. Checklist Compliance: Confirm that your submission complies with all items in the submission checklist.
4. Upload Submission: Upload your manuscript file and any supplementary files.
5. Enter Metadata: Provide detailed metadata, including the title, abstract, keywords, and author information.
6. Confirmation: Review and confirm your submission.

c. Post-Submission

• Submission Confirmation: You will receive an email confirming receipt of your submission.
• Tracking: Track the status of your submission through the OJS system.
• Revision Requests: If revisions are required, you will receive detailed feedback through the OJS system. You will need to submit revised manuscripts and provide a detailed response to reviewers’ comments.

4. Ethical Considerations

• Authorship: Ensure all authors meet the criteria for authorship as defined by the ICMJE.
• Conflict of Interest: Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
• Ethical Approval: Include a statement confirming that the research was conducted in accordance with ethical guidelines and that approval was obtained from relevant ethics committees.
• Informed Consent: Confirm that informed consent was obtained from all participants, if applicable.

5. Peer Review Process

JARMS employs a double-blind peer review process. Manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent experts. Authors may be asked to revise their manuscript based on reviewers' comments. Final decisions are made by the editorial board.

6. Manuscript Revisions

If revisions are required, you will be provided with reviewers’ comments and requested to submit a revised manuscript within a specified timeframe. Clearly highlight changes made to the manuscript and provide a detailed response to reviewers' comments.

7. Acceptance and Publication

Accepted manuscripts will undergo copyediting, typesetting, and proofing. Authors will receive proofs for final approval before publication. Articles are published online first, followed by inclusion in a subsequent issue.

8. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their work and grant JARMS first publication rights. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing for free use and distribution with proper attribution.

9. Retractions and Corrections

In cases of significant errors or ethical breaches, JARMS will issue retractions or corrections as necessary, in accordance with COPE guidelines.
